Meet Our Team
The people bringing this project to screen
Eric is a veteran of the Army with one combat deployment to Iraq in 2003. It’s his passion to empower veterans to find their voice. Eric himself attempted suicide in 2008. He considers it his greatest failure. This is in part why this project is so special to him.
Eric was an award winning cinematography on the short film “Butter Pecan” as well as high marks for his work as a camera operator on the independent film “River.” He has a shot several successful short form documentaries ranging from short form, to a 3 part 3 hour educational film.
In 2017 Eric was cast in the NBC Sports TV show “Quest for Kona. The experience was a catalyst to pursuing his dreams. He has been making movies in his head his whole life. But in the last 4 years, begun to make them a reality.
Jenna (Eric’s Wife) has the heart of an artist. When Eric was unable to maintain employment while battling his own PTSD, she stepped up and launched a very successful photography business. Through this, she learned what cost are necessary in a production, how to prioritize the needs based on budget, and how to find the best deals possible.
She also possesses a hunger for hearing stories. It’s vital that the people involved on the production team care about this subject matter. Jenna has walked hand in hand with her husband Eric, as he battled his own struggle with suicide and depression.
Sam has been making documentaries for years. Eric and Sam worked on a project in 2014. He was impressed with Sam's desire to create thoughtful images in an area of the country where artistry in film is hard to come by.
Ben's story forms the backbone of this effort. Through his openness, he lets us into a world that many don't understand. At the same time, his voice breaks the silence in an effort to encourage other veterans to break their silence. Through speaking up and speaking out, we believe we can avoid going down the path that 20 veterans a day go down. The path to suicide.
